Additionally there is an increased need for professional development and training by teachers in order to catch up with the rapid progression of the technological field.<\/p>\n<p>With the course \u201eTEACH-NANO\u201c the Innovation Society offers interested teachers (groups of 15-25 persons) the opportunity to deepen their knowledge in the following areas:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>technical foundations<\/strong> of nanotechnology<\/li>\n<li><strong>economic aspects<\/strong> of nanotechnology<\/li>\n<li>discussions about <strong>opportunities<\/strong> and <strong>risks<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>teaching concepts<\/strong> tailored to the secondary school level<\/li>\n<li><strong>experiments<\/strong> for teachers and students<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Additionally, the participants will receive a package containing:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>fundamentals<\/strong> and perspectives of nanotechnology (1\/2 day)<\/li>\n<li><strong>experiments<\/strong>, concepts and materials for use in class (1\/2 day)<\/li>\n<li><strong>field-trip<\/strong> to a nanotechnology company or research institute in the region (1\/2 day)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>For questions please do not hesitate to <a href=\"mailto: info@innovationsgesellschaft.ch\">contact<\/a> us:<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Nanotechnology increasingly constitutes an important part of the curriculum of science classes in schools, not least because teachers are approached by their students who want to know more about this technology.
