New Experiment Module: "The Lotus Effect" (in German)
The new SimplyNano -2 experiment module “The Lotus Effect” offers an exciting extension for science lessons in schools. It replaces the previous experiments with salvinia plants, as their use has been banned since September 1, 2024.
The included learning materials and experiment materials make it possible to carry out various fascinating experiments on the lotus effect. The set contains all the necessary documents and materials to inspire a class of up to 20 pupils with practical experiments on the lotus effect.
Experiments with a wow effect
The “lotus effect” is a prime example from bionics of the fascination of nanophenomena. It occurs in many materials and technical applications (e.g. dirt-repellent textiles, surface coatings, etc.). The new module on the lotus effect includes several exciting experiments on the topics of the “self-cleaning effect”, “surface tension” or the production and optimization of your own “lotus chemicals”, which will inspire the pupils.
Materials and documents for class experiments.
The module is available from the Innovationsgesellschaft webshop and offers everything you need for immediate use in the classroom: Experimental materials, detailed instructions and comprehensive didactic documents (print and USB stick) are included. More information and order:
