From a risk perspective, Black Swans are extreme events which occur with only very small probability, but extensive impact. Black Swans are therefore often beyond the limits of our imagination. However, Black Swans can not only be of negative character, but they can include enormous opportunities. It is true for both "risk Swans" as well as "opportunity Swans" that they can only be found if the unthinkable can be thought and some planless thinking is allowed.
