Emerging Risks in the insurance industry
The October issue of the magazine "VersicherungsPraxis" deals with insurance-related aspects of so-called emerging risks (ER). In the interview of the lead topic, Dr. Christoph Meili states that ER as well as nano-risks are gaining importance for insurers and explains the reasons for this.
The increasing spread of nanomaterials and -technologies are accompanied by diverse risk aspects, which become progressively important for insurers and reinsurers (read relateda article here) from May 2015. The current October issue of the magazine "VersicherungsPraxis" is dedicated to the topic of emerging risks. These include, amongst others, nano-risks, as well as cyber risks or cloud computing security. In the interview on the lead topic with Dr. Christoph Meili, central aspects of the insurability of ER are summed up.
