HILTI AG sponsors nano-education in Liechtenstein
Due to the efforts of the Liechtensteinische chamber of industry and commerce (LIHK), Hilti agreed to sponsor twelve "SimplyNano1®"-experimental kits to the schools of Liechtenstein.
Last Tuesday these twelve experimental kits were handed over personally to two representatives of the education authority. In order to provide all schools in Liechtenstein with access to the newly available experimental kits, the kits are being administrated by the centre for school media. Furthermore, in three weeks a complementary training course on the "SimplyNano 1®" - experimental kit will be hold by The Innovation Society in Vaduz.
The experimental kit was developed by the Innovation Society, St.Gallen in close cooperation with the SimplyScience foundation. By means of eight exciting experiments, the kit enables the transfer of knowledge about nanotechnolgy in an entertaining and descriptive way. The experimental kit was created to foster children’s and teenagers’ understanding and enthusiasm for natural scientific and technological topics. This illustrates the background of this useful cooperation between industry and educational department - since industrial companies located in Liechtenstein will continue to need qualified young recruits in the future, too.
